Madrid, December 02, 2024.- The subdelegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, wanted to thank the work that, since 1994, the Barró Association has done "to improve the lives of people in situations of vulnerability and at risk of exclusion with a socio-educational approach", since "Social Rights are Human Rights" and not "principles or wishes".
It was at the commemorative event for the 30th anniversary of this association, with which it has had contact through the impetus and involvement of the Government Delegation in the search for a comprehensive solution for the people living in the Cañada Real. In this regard, he has assured that “the fight for human rights, especially the fight against poverty and inequality, must be done from all perspectives, by all actors”, and has reiterated his intention to “continue working together” to achieve this objective.
During the celebration, a tour of the trajectory of the Barró Association was carried out with the participation of its founders, social educators, collaborators, mediators, volunteers and recipients of its projects, and the Barró Association Recognitions were delivered to members and former members of the team and volunteers.
Founded in the district of Vallecas, this non-profit organization develops projects in the social field in order to create a socio-educational, personal and community development space for people in situations or at risk of vulnerability, marginalization or social exclusion.
