Through a Royal Decree approved today in the Council of Ministers
- The objective is to improve the northern accessibility of the municipality to the State Road Network, road safety and mobility.
- This amount is in addition to the other 6.65 million euros already transferred in 2021 for the construction of this access, which is being carried out by the City Council.
The Council of Ministers, at its meeting today and on the proposal of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, has approved a Royal Decree regulating the direct granting of a grant of 4.76 million euros to the City of Rivas-Vaciamadrid to finance the construction of a new access to the M-50 bypass motorway in the municipality, located southeast of the Community of Madrid.
This subsidy, from the year 2024, adds to another 6.65 million euros already transferred in 2021 for the execution of this link that was projected and is being executed by the City Council. The term of the works subject to this grant will be until June 30, 2026.
The action represents a substantial advance in the accessibility of the municipality to the State Road Network and aims to improve road safety and traffic fluidity, contributing to the economic growth of the municipality. In addition, the new link will significantly improve its mobility and connectivity with other nearby population centers.
Job Features
The link will allow access to the northern area of the municipality through the M-50. To do this, starting from the structure that crosses this motorway in the km 27,400 and that belonged to the old autonomous road M-823, this new link is executed.
The new connection is configured by means of a weight link, with the construction of two roundabouts on both sides of the M-50 and the corresponding connecting branches to its collecting tracks.
The payment of the subsidy will be made once the concession resolution is issued. These payments will have the character of advance payment under the provisions of article 34.4 of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General of Subsidies
