The Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, visited today the exhibition “Stitches of Dignity”, of the Association for the Prevention, Reintegration and Care of Prostituted Women (APRAMP) “Stitches of Dignity” in collaboration with the Delegation of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, and held a meeting with women survivors of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
It has been at the headquarters of the Government Delegation, where the exhibition remains since its inauguration, where it has been accompanied by the Government delegate, Francisco Martín; the subdelegate of the government, Pilar Trinidad; the director of APRAMP, Rocío Mora; and the head of the Unit against Gender Violence, Eva Corrales.
Ana Redondo wanted to thank and acknowledge the collaboration that has made this exhibition possible and that demonstrates “what organized society is capable of when it also collaborates with institutions”. For her part, the president of APRAM has assured that the exhibition would not have been possible without the support of the Delegation. “We would never have been able to do it alone,” he said.
The show, made up of nine suits made by women survivors of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, mixes the vision of the suits with listening to the testimonies of the women, through QR codes, which tell their story from the moment they were captured until they managed to get out and “recover” their lives, through the learning of the cut and make, thanks to the support and assistance of APRAMP.
