The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has co-chaired today together with the mayor of Velilla de San Antonio, Antonia Alcázar Jiménez, the Local Security Board of the municipality, in which the security device of its patron saint’s parties has been reviewed, which will be held from Friday 20 to Tuesday 24 September.
The Civil Guard will control the accesses to the municipality, where numerous violet points have been installed and the Local Police, composed of 18 agents, will have the reinforcement of the canine units of other municipalities.
In total there will be 80 people, among volunteers, agents of the Security Bodies and Forces and private security hired, who will ensure that the festivities of Velilla de San Antonio run normally and in the best security conditions.
The Local Security Board has also served to review the crime data of the municipality that have fallen, so far this year, with respect to the same period of the previous year. The Local Police has highlighted that not only are the data positive, well below the average of the Community of Madrid, but also the feeling of security that is breathed in Velilla. For its part, the Civil Guard has highlighted the increase in the clarification of cases of crimes in this last period of time.
The government delegate congratulated the agents for these data and the good coordination they maintain and wanted to expressly thank them for their commitment to the violet dots and the VioGén system, which has been installed in the municipality for some time.
