- The government delegate and the mayor, Gema Pacheco, signed today the accession protocol and the operating procedure
- The municipality thus begins the integration process for its full adhesion
The City Council of Nuevo Baztán signed that morning the adhesion of its Local Police to the “Protocol of Collaboration and Coordination between the State Security Forces and the Local Police Forces for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence”, necessary for its integration into the VioGén System of comprehensive monitoring of cases of gender violence.
The “Operational Procedure of Coordination and Collaboration between the Command of the Civil Guard of Madrid and the City of Nuevo Baztán, of integral response against gender violence” has also been signed. Under this agreement, the Local Police of Nuevo Baztán will share the data that the Civil Guard has on cases of gender violence in the municipality and will participate in its follow-up for a more effective protection of victims who suffer from gender violence.
The signing, attended by the government delegate, Francisco Martín, the mayor of Nuevo Baztán, Gema Pacheco, and the head of the Civil Guard Command of Madrid, Colonel Diego Pérez de los Cobos, is a decisive step in the incorporation procedure promoted by the City Council and the Government Delegation itself.
Goal: Bring all local police into the system
The objective is to get all the localities in the region that have local police to join this system, so the government delegate has assured that they will continue with the efforts to achieve it. “We still have work”, he added, while reiterating his commitment and that of the Government of Spain to this goal.
