There, the government delegate was able to learn, from the testimonies of the affected neighbors, how those hours of distress were until the fire managed to be controlled by the deployed device.
The fire, which burned 27 hectares of low mountain, was controlled at 2:40h. Monday morning. In its extinction, 14 fire brigades from the Community of Madrid worked, as well as Forest Brigades and Forestry Agents from the region with heavy machinery. In the first hours the fire was fought by seven helicopters.
The forest agents investigate the causes of the fire, which originated in the tail of the urbanization El Pingarrón and then advanced in a straight line towards the forest area due to the slope and strength of the wind.
