- Co-chaired by the government delegate, Francisco Martín, and the mayor of the town María de la Sierra Serrano Flórez
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has co-chaired today together with the mayor of Collado Medio, María de la Sierra Serrano Flórez, the Local Security Board of the municipality, in which the security plan of the patron saint’s parties, which will be held from August 21 to 26, has been revised.
The government delegate wanted to thank the Consistory for having included in this plan the placement of a Violet Point for attention to male violence, while insisting on the importance of the local police of the municipality joining the VioGén system. In his opinion, it would be a way to “send the message to the citizens that the administrations are making available all the necessary mechanisms and tools to combat gender violence”.
Crime data
The meeting, attended by representatives of the City Council, the Civil Guard and the Local Police and the Community of Madrid, also took stock of last year’s crime data, which places the crime rate of the municipality at 34.31 points, which represents a slight increase of 1.07 points compared to 2023.
Despite this, this figure is much lower than the average for the Community of Madrid, which is 60.03 according to the Crime Balance of the Secretary of State of the Ministry of the Interior, which shows that Collado Medio is “a very safe municipality within a very safe Community”, he said.
