The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has offered the collaboration of the Government Delegation to coordinate, through its Citizen Security Area, the security and mobility devices during the celebration of the two great music festivals that will be held in Arganda del Rey in June.
This has been one of the main items on the agenda of the Local Security Board that has co-chaired today with the mayor of the town, Alberto Escribano.
During the time that this issue has been addressed, the promoters of the Summer Story 2024 and the Puro Latino Fest Madrid 2024 event have also been present, along with the members of the municipal corporation, representatives of the Civil Guard and the Local Police, and of the Community of Madrid.
Francisco Martín recalled that the Community of Madrid is a region in which this type of festivals has increased significantly in recent years, which require an important work of prevention and planning that results in the safety of the attendees, and of which the affected municipalities must be aware and involved.
In this regard, he has again appealed to the mayor of the city of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, to sit down to review the state in which the site that is going to host the MadCool is located and that last year had to stop its activity because it did not meet the necessary conditions. “We are late but we are available to try to find solutions”, said Francisco Martín, while recalling that, until now, all the complaints about it that he has made since the Government Delegation have not received a response.
In addition, the Local Security Board has taken stock of the crime data of the municipality, and has proceeded with the signing of the Agreement between the Secretary of State for Security of the Ministry of Interior and the City of Buenos Aires.
Arganda del Rey in terms of citizen security, and it has been recalled that the Local Police of Arganda is one of the 37 of the Community of Madrid that is fully integrated in the VioGén system of comprehensive monitoring of protection to victims of gender violence.
