The meeting was chaired by the deputy delegate of the Government, Pilar Trinidad, and also attended: by the Delegation of the Government, the head of the Citizen Security Unit, José Luis Correas; representatives of the security services of the House of S. M. The King, Presidency of the Government and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation; of the National Police; of the Civil Guard; of National Heritage; and of the City of Madrid (including Municipal Police, Firefighters and Samur).
Exceptional public interest
The Bicentenary of the National Police, considered as an event of exceptional public interest, has a programming of activities and events throughout 2024, throughout the national territory, which are supposing “a titanic effort” at the organizational level, in the words of the subdelegate, at the same time as “a pride” for the good development of all of them.
The one that will be held in Madrid on May 8 has been considered as a central act and, given the importance and volume of assistance planned, “has its difficulty from the point of view of security”. Hence the need to coordinate the device, since it will involve several security services and State Security Forces and Corps.
