- 1,720 meters of metallic acoustic screens distributed in various areas of the road will be installed, along 16.5 km
- Soon, it will be submitted to the public information procedure, which involves the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE)
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has provisionally approved the project for the development of the Phase II Action Plan against Noise on the A-42 motorway, between Madrid and Parla (km 7,850 to 24,350), in the Community of Madrid.
The estimated construction budget is 5.33 million euros (VAT included). It will soon be submitted to the public information procedure, which involves the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The actions, projected over 16.5 km, aim to reduce the noise levels produced by the high traffic flow in the environment. The work included in the project consists of 8 sections of anti-noise screens, intended for the acoustic insulation of the track.
The total length of these is 1,720 m, with screens of different heights between 2.0 and 4.5 m above the height of the roadway, in both margins. The acoustic screens will be metallic and for the foundation of the screen are proposed solutions of single pile, with separation of 4 meters between piles.
The work is derived from the list selected in the Action Plan against Noise, which includes the installation of noise barriers according to regulations, and which has been drawn up from the Ministry’s Phase II Strategic Noise Map (MER).
