- The municipality will receive support from the “DUS 5000” Program for three unique clean energy projects
- Francisco Martín has visited the municipality and met with the mayor, Francisca Suárez
The government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín, visited today some of the municipal buildings of Titulcia in which actions financed by the NextGenerationEU funds are going to be carried out, through the “DUS 5000” Program, from which the municipality will receive aid worth more than two and a half million euros (2,616,437€).
Accompanied by the mayor, Francisca Suárez, with whom he had a previous meeting, Francisco Martín toured this municipality of demographic challenge, beneficiary of investments for unique local clean energy projects framed in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Three projects funded
In total, there are three projects for which the municipality has obtained funding: the renovation of outdoor street lighting with LED technology and remote management with starlight criteria (investment of 675,838.60€); a public platform for sustainable mobility (investment of 85,564.90€); and the renovation of openings, indoor facilities, air conditioning and renewable energies in municipal buildings (investment of 1,343,950.93€).
The latter includes performances in the Virgen del Rosario School, the Children’s House, the Mayor’s House, the Foju Center and the courts, where heat recuperators will be installed to renew the indoor air of the classrooms with which to obtain safe spaces against viral diseases. In addition, the interior lighting systems will be renewed and air-water aerothermal installations will be carried out.
In addition, the Children’s House will install underfloor heating and a photovoltaic installation, which will also be enabled in the Foju Center and in the courts.
On the other hand, both in the House of the Mayor, as in the Foju Center, and in the courts, the windows and doors will be renewed for others of better thermal performance and insulation will be added to the cover.
The surplus of photovoltaic energy will be managed through collective self-consumption with the supplies associated to the different public buildings, which is estimated to achieve a self-consumption rate over the production of electrical energy of 91%.
Program “DUS 5000”
Aimed at municipalities considered a demographic challenge (municipalities with up to 5,000 inhabitants and non-urban municipalities with up to 20,000 inhabitants with all their unique population groups with up to 5,000 inhabitants), the objective of the “DUS 5000” Programme is to give a boost to Sustainable Urban Development through actions that constitute unique clean energy projects.
For example, energy efficiency projects in buildings and public infrastructures, promoting green investments and, in particular, self-consumption, as well as sustainable mobility, facilitating modal change and ensuring the participation of municipalities in the deployment of the infrastructure to recharge and boost the electric vehicle, including measures to save energy and reduce light pollution by improving public lighting.
The Community of Madrid has received a total of 14.21 million euros in the territorial distribution of this project.
Adherence to the VioGen System and ‘The Administration Near You’
During the meeting, the delegate offered the mayor of Titulcia the possibility of adhesion of the municipality to the VioGen System and, in addition, the signing of the agreement ‘The Administration near you’. Suárez has welcomed both proposals, so the procedure to implement them immediately is going to start.
