The Government Delegation in Madrid will activate a security device made up of 1275 troops for the first-leg match of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals that will be played, on Wednesday 10 April, by Atlético de Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium, starting at 9:00 p.m. This meeting has been classified as high-risk by the Anti-Violence Commission.
The operation, which will be in charge of monitoring the areas surrounding the stadium to prevent incidents, will be made up of National Police agents —from the Police Intervention Unit, the Special Cavalry Unit and the Provincial Information Brigade—; the Civil Guard; the Municipal Police of Madrid; components of the SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade; members of the Red Cross, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
It is expected that 3800 German fans will attend a stadium that will touch the full, with 68,000 seats sold.
To expedite the work of the agents, it is recommended that all stadium attendees attend in advance to pass the established security controls.
