The Government Delegation in Madrid hosted this morning the celebration of an Update in Functionality of the VioGén system, organized by the General Directorate of Coordination and Studies of the Secretary of State for Security.
This face-to-face training day, aimed at the staff of the Municipal Equality Points of the Community of Madrid, includes three presentations. In the first, focused on the Prevention of Gender Violence, specialized intervention in cases of gender violence was addressed. In the second, dedicated to the VioGén System, he addressed the objectives, integral functioning and protocols of action applied in the system. The third presentation was dedicated to the functionalities of the system aimed at Municipal Equality Points: access to the system, search and management of information accessible according to profile, permits and functions in matters of gender violence.
Importance of training
The Government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, opened the day with an intervention in which he stressed the importance of training for the best use of all available instruments and to increase its effectiveness in the fight against gender violence.
Francisco Martín recalled that the Government Delegation is making an institutional effort before mayors and mayors of the Community so that the local police of the municipalities are incorporated into the VioGén system of comprehensive follow-up of cases of gender violence, in order, in this way, to share the information of the cases with the State security forces and bodies, increase the effectiveness in the protection of the victims.
