- The campaign pays tribute to the artist María Jiménez through her song “Se acabó” and her feminist message of hope when she sings “now my world is another”
The Ministry of Equality, through the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, presents the campaign “Now Spain is another”, on the occasion of the 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The campaign aims to show the change that Spanish society has experienced over the years in terms of impunity for acts of male violence, breaking with silence and accompanying and providing reparation to the women who have suffered it. A society that, in spite of everything, has evolved in the fight against male violence and is no longer willing to tolerate the lack of consent.
“Now Spain is another” focuses on showing how Spain has changed and on pointing out and detecting acts of male violence, as well as giving a response as a society. In this sense, the campaign seeks to convey a clear message: our society has advanced, it is feminist and does not tolerate any type of male violence.
Tribute to María Jiménez
The campaign, carried out by Ogilvy Madrid and which has counted for the spot the participation of women survivors of the Anabella foundation to help battered women, also pays tribute to the artist María Jiménez through her song “Se acabó”.
A song with a feminist message and a fight against male violence, at the same time that it fills with hope when it sings “now my world is another”. A world that does not remain silent and that works so that no woman is alone, breaking silences and barriers in those places where the “is over” has not yet arrived.
The campaign will have a presence on television, radio, press, outdoor and digital. In turn, it will be projected in the XX awards ceremony on the occasion of the 25N, where people, projects and institutions that during 2023 have carried out different work and awareness actions in the fight against male violence are recognized.
