The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, met this lunchtime at the headquarters of the Delegation with the councilor for Security of the Help of San Sebastián de los Reyes, Carlos Bolarín, with whom he has addressed the renewal of the collaboration agreement of the local police of the municipality with the VioGén system of integral follow-up of women victims of gender violence.
In the course of the meeting, the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation, Eva Corrales, has informed the councillor and the representatives of the municipal police of the steps to be followed to carry out this renewal. The most important are the convening of a Local Security Board, the signing of a protocol of coordination and collaboration with the National Police and the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of the Interior.
This meeting is part of the round of meetings that the government delegate in Madrid has initiated with mayors, mayors and other representatives of municipalities of the Community so that their local police are integrated into the VioGén system, through the signing of the corresponding protocols and collaboration agreements with the Secretary of State for Security or, if they are already part of it, so that they renew that signature.
Collaboration for more effective victim protection
The incorporation of the Local Police Corps into this tool to combat gender violence allows closer collaboration with the State Security Forces and Corps (National Police or Civil Guard) for a more effective comprehensive protection of women victims of this violence, in accordance with the measures provided in the VioGén system.
