The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, participated this morning in the official commemoration of Police Day, organized by the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid and presided over by the general director of Police, Francisco Pardo Piqueras.
During the event, numerous decorations have been awarded to members of the National Police and other institutions. Among those decorated, the head of the Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation, chief inspector Eva Corrales Melero, who has received the medal of the Order of Police Merit with a white distinctive for her professional career. Along with her, two other national police officers currently assigned to the Government Delegation have also been decorated for their dedication to police service: José Ángel Sánchez Pescador and Marcelino Quintana Martínez.
The Director General of the Police, Francisco Pardo Piqueras, has presided over an event in which the Commissioner General of the Scientific Police, Carmen Solís Ortega, the Chief of the Personnel Division, Luis Carrión Guillén, the Superior Chief of Police of Madrid, Manuel Soto Seoane, the regional chief of operations in Madrid, Hermes de Dios Herrero and the provincial chief of Madrid, Manuel Vidal Estévez, among other police officers, have also been present.
The celebration of Police Day, which has been hosted by IFEMA, has included the tribute to the fallen in the act of service and, to conclude, the anthem of the National Police has been sung.
