The government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, held a working meeting today with the head of the State Road Demarcation in Madrid, Gloria María Ramos Palop.
The Road Demarcation is part of the structure of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, but its services are deployed by the different Autonomous Communities, as happens with other Ministries and State Institutions. All these services are not integrated into the Government Delegation, but the Government Delegation coordinates all of them through its joint unit with the General Administration of the State.
In addition, the Government delegate has competence in the resolution of violations of the sanctioning files initiated by the State Highway Demarcation for violations committed in the field of roads classified as light, although, throughout the year 2022, only one of this type was resolved. On the contrary, in those that are classified as serious, the General Director of Roads and, in the very serious ones, the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda resolve.
