The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has completed the works to reduce the noise of the N-124 road, between kilometers 41.93 and 42.55, at the height of Haro, in La Rioja. This investment has had a budget of 482,630 euros (VAT included) from the European funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).
In order to reduce the noise pollution in the aforementioned section, the replacement of the existing pavement by another with sound-absorbing characteristics has been defined as a solution. The works are composed of the following performances:
- Milling of the driveway due to the poor condition of the firm.
- Extended of intermediate layer.
- Extended of rolling layer.
- Repainted road markings.
This action has been carried out based on the analysis of the corresponding Strategic Noise Maps, within the framework of the Action Plan against Noise of the General Directorate of Roads, which aims to control and reduce noise levels in the environment and whose responsibility for implementation falls to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
