The Delegation of the Government of Spain in La Rioja celebrates, from 19 to 25 May, the Open Administration Week, with the main objective of bringing Public Administrations closer to the citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
Seventeen activities have been planned for the days of the Government Delegation in La Rioja, which will be carried out by officials of the General State Administration (AGE) and members of the State Security Forces and Corps under the coordination of the Delegation.
On the part of the staff of the Delegation, the dissemination activities have focused on aspects very demanded at present:
· Information aimed at the citizens of rural areas. Within ‘The Administration Close to You’, six sessions will be held in different locations aimed at neighbors to increase their digital autonomy and make it easier for them to carry out actions in the AGE.
· Information addressed to the foreign population in two sessions, before the entry into force on Tuesday, May 20 of the new Regulation on Foreigners.
· Information addressed to local authorities: in a year in which there is special awareness by DANA, a day will be held in which individualized information will be provided on state subsidies in case of emergency or disaster, their classes and requirements.
On the part of the Xª Zona de la Guardia Civil, four activities will be carried out: a talk at the Instituto Celso Díaz de Arnedo on the Internet and Social Networks; a second, at the Instituto Quintiliano de Pradejón, on the consequences of drug and alcohol consumption; a third information session on security for the elderly in the Hostel of the Cofradía del Santo in Santo Domingo de la Calzada and, finally, a workshop on the Camino de Santiago in Nájera, in which pilgrims will inform security.
Members of the Superior Police Headquarters of La Rioja will carry out four activities, the first of which will be a talk at the headquarters of the Red Cross of Logroño to teach elderly people to prevent cybercrime, within the Greater Security Plan.
The second talk will be at the Day Center in the western area of Logroño to train the elderly in the safe use of digital technologies, within the same Plan, and a third will take place at the Virgen de Valvanera children's center to raise awareness about the consequences of alcohol, drugs and other addictions in the framework of the School Coexistence Master Plan.
Finally, they will hold an information session on the possibilities and requirements of access to the National Police at the Colegio de la Purísima Concepción -Adoratrices in Logroño, as a professional orientation for students who finish ESO.

- In view of the imminent entry into force on the following day of the new Regulation on Foreigners, the main innovations it introduces will be reported and the doubts that its application may generate among the main social sectors affected will be resolved.
