Arraiz Nalda highlights that the positive trend of security in Calsalvo by improving crime data
The delegate of the Government of Spain in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, and the mayor of Calsalvo, Mónica Arceiz, presided this morning the meeting of the Local Security Board of the municipality.
In turn, Arraiz Nalda stressed that “after years in which Calsalvo has increased its levels of insecurity, we see how in 2024 the situation is reversed by slightly decreasing the crime rate, a positive fact that has undoubtedly affected the great work during months of the Civil Guard”.
In this way, the delegate insisted that “both the Government of Spain and the Civil Guard have been and will continue to focus on improving the security of Calahorsa and its environment, and this will is demonstrated with real data that certifies the effectiveness of the Armed Institute in this locality”, she insisted.
He added that the Government of Spain has been aware of the increase in crime figures in this municipality of La Rioja Baja and, therefore, the presence of the Civil Guard in the municipality has increased.
As the delegate has specified, the crime rate has dropped more than two points in a year, going from 55.6 at the end of the year in 2023 to 53.45 in 2024. In addition, this evolution of reduction of criminal offenses is being maintained at the beginning of 2025: while in the months of January and February 2024 215 criminal offenses were registered in Calsalvo, in the first two months of 2025 they amount to 174.
According to the improvement of the results, Arraiz Nalda has valued very positively the great work and effort that is being carried out by the Civil Guard in Calsalvo.
Coordination and collaboration against male violence
In relation to the data provided by the VioGén System and according to the figures this morning, in the town of Calsalvo there are 109 active cases that require police protection, of these 43 present unappreciated risk level, 49 low, 16 medium and one with high and extreme risk.
Likewise, 74 of the victims have an order of protection and there is a case of special relevance for minors at risk.
