The Council of Ministers, at its meeting this week, authorized the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to tender three contracts for the optimal maintenance of structures of the State Road Network (RCE), with an estimated value of 108.7 million euros (VAT not included).
Within the second contract, a lot of territorial scope is included that for La Rioja with 1.9 million euros.
The purpose of these contracts, with an initial duration of 3 years and the possibility of an extension of up to 24 months, is the conservation and repair of structures such as bridges, walkways, pontoons or lower pedestrian crossings through the execution of four types of actions:
• Replacement of support devices
• Adequacy of containment systems
• Repairs of the drainage system and desconchones in paraments.
• On beam board bridges: replacement of beams or repair of beams.
These activities do not exclude the execution of other conventional repairs of the affected elements to meet the main objective of the intervention.
Each contract covers different regions of the territory, grouped as follows:
1. Castilla y León Occidental, Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid and Extremadura. Estimated value of the contract: 34.676.720.5 euros (VAT not included).
2. Asturias, Cantabria, Galicia and La Rioja. Estimated value of the contract: 22,671,474.3 euros (VAT not included).
3. Eastern Andalusia, Western Andalusia, Murcia, Valencia and Catalonia. Estimated value of the contract: 51.342.049.4 euros (VAT not included).
In turn, each of these three contracts has been divided into different lots of territorial scope to facilitate greater efficiency in the provision of the service, each of them constituting a functional unit as they are clearly delimited areas.
The geographical areas that each of the lots collects, as well as the estimated value (VAT not included) of the contracts that will be developed in them are indicated:
· Asturias: 4.9 million euros.
· Cantabria: 3.6 million euros.
· Galicia: 12.3 million euros.
· La Rioja: 1.9 million euros.
· Castilla y León Occidental (Valladolid, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Zamora): 15.5 million euros.
· Castilla La Mancha: 8.8 million euros.
· Madrid: 3.5 million euros.
· Extremadura: 6.8 million euros.
· Eastern Andalusia (Granada, Almería, Málaga, Jaén): 11.7 million euros.
· Western Andalusia (Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba, Huelva): 11 million euros.
· Murcia: 3.91 million euros.
· Valencian Community: 12.7 million euros.
· Catalonia: 12 million euros.
These contracts are in addition to the one already awarded for the maintenance of the structures of the RCE in Aragón and Castilla y León Oriental (Burgos, Ávila, Segovia and Soria).
