The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has litigated for 560,941 euros (VAT included) the actions to mitigate the noise on the N-124 road, at the height of Haro, in La Rioja. In particular, the existing pavement will be replaced by another with sound-absorbing characteristics in 620 meters of the road, between the kilometers (km) 41,930 and 42,550.
The objective of the work, which is framed in the Plan of Action against Noise of phase II, is to implement the necessary corrective measures to meet the objectives of acoustic quality (OCAs) established in the current regulations, and whose compliance in the State Road Network is periodically reviewed through the elaboration of the corresponding Strategic Noise Maps (MER).
Based on the analysis of the corresponding SRMs, it has been defined to develop actions to reduce noise pollution in the aforementioned section due to the presence of residential areas.
The announcement of the tender was published in the Official State Gazette of 19 August.
The actions will be financed from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), which provides for the investment of 302 million euros (VAT not included) of the NextGenerationEU funds to carry out sustainability, energy efficiency and actions against noise in the State Road Network.
