The delegate of the Government of Spain in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, visited this morning, together with the mayor of Ribafrecha, Óscar González García, the family conciliation program developed by the City of this municipality through the financing of the funds of the Co-responsible Plan.
In particular, the Ribafrecha Consistory finances, thanks to the approximately 10,000 euros of the Co-responsible Plan, a playground for the summer months, which will be attended by 46 minors, and the early bird service, to which nine boys and girls have already registered.
For her part, the delegate explained that the Joint Responsibility Plan is a new public policy promoted and financed by the Secretary of State for Equality and against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Equality, whose objective is to advance in co-responsibility for a more just and equitable society.
The Government of Spain allocates more than 3 million euros for the development of the Co-responsible Plan in La Rioja in the year 2024. Arraiz Nalda stressed that “thanks to this funding, the reconciliation of personal, family and work life is promoted from an approach of equality between men and women, as well as co-responsibility and the creation of quality employment in the care sector”.
In this way, aid is provided to local entities to finance the costs for the development of actions within the framework of the Co-responsible Plan, as a measure to promote the reconciliation of family and work life in the rural world.
In this sense, Arraiz Nalda has insisted, during the visit to the ludoteca service in Ribafrecha, that this is an example of the determined support of the Government of Spain to the rural world and to the conciliation of the people who reside in the Rioja villages, a fundamental aspect if we want to maintain the population.
For his part, the mayor of Ribafrecha, Óscar González García, has specified that the Co-responsible Plan has allowed this municipality to improve the conciliation services provided during the summer, since with more than 1,000 inhabitants it was a priority to have a playroom and early bird catchers.
Co-responsible plan
Framed in the European Care Strategy, the Shared Responsibility Plan represents a step towards consolidating public policies that address care as a right, through three axes of action.
First, to facilitate the reconciliation of families with children up to 16 years of age through the implementation of personal care services.
Secondly, it aims to create quality employment in the care sector for children up to 16 years of age, accompanied by the deployment of a system of accreditation of professional skills acquired through informal and non-professional experience.
Finally, thirdly, it aims to sensitize and train society, especially men, in terms of co-responsibility and care, in order to promote models of co-responsible and egalitarian masculinities.
These three axes of action are materialized through specific projects and plans that will be carried out by the autonomous communities, Ceuta and Melilla.
