The Superior Police Headquarters of La Rioja has been strengthened with 12 police officers and 2 inspectors in an open classroom. At 10 a.m. today there has been the presentation of the 14 police officers who will carry out the police work during the coming months in the workforce of La Rioja. The event was chaired by the Delegate of the Government, Doña Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, the Superior Chief of Police Don Manuel Laguna Cencerrado and the Regional Chief of Operations, Don A. Felipe Guzmán Moreno together with the different Chief Inspectors, Chiefs of the different Brigades of this Superior Headquarters, who have dedicated a few words of encouragement and affection for this new stage.
Twelve of these officers (5 women and 7 men) in practice belong to the Basic Scale Promotion XXXIX and will carry out police work for eleven months, having been incorporated on July 1. And two agents belonging to Executive Scale in open classroom 2.
Two other Executive Scale students (internship inspectors) will also join this Headquarters on July 24. Most of these officials have university studies related to police work such as Criminology, Drone course, audiovisual communication, Social Work or Law.
This internship phase is mandatory, for both scales, after the theoretical phase carried out at the National Police School in Ávila. After having approved the theoretical phase they must now also approve the practical phase in the chosen template, after which they will obtain qualifications that will help them when choosing their first destination as Sworn Policemen.
Throughout the internship period, these officers will pass through the five Headquarters Brigades: Information Brigade, Judicial Police, Citizen Security, Foreigners and Borders and Scientific Police, reinforcing the work of the people in the different Brigades of this Headquarters as well as the police presence in the city of Logroño. They will also pass through the DNI service, both in the realization of identity documents and Passports.
In addition, the Superior Headquarters of La Rioja, during the months of July and August, will increase the staffing with nine 9 officials, specifically, 2 sub-inspectors, 1 officer and 6 police officers.
