The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) has published the rdefinitive solution of the grants to agricultural holdings of shared ownership of the call 2024, which benefit a total of 1,060, with an overall amount of 1,590,000 euros.
Specifically in La Rioja, the number of jointly owned farms benefiting from this aid amounts to 48, which will receive a total of 72,000 euros.
La Rioja is among the autonomous communities with the highest number of beneficiary farms, along with Navarre, the Basque Country, Aragon and Asturias.
Each beneficiary farm will receive an aid of 1,500 euros, the maximum annual amount established in the regulatory bases. Payments will be made before the end of this year.
The purpose of this aid line is to contribute to the payment of Social Security quotas for persons holding agricultural holdings of shared ownership.
This is the fourth edition of these grants, whose number of applications and beneficiary entities has continued to increase progressively in each call, reflecting the stable increase in farm registrations in the system of shared ownership in recent years.
This initiative is included in the actions carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food with the aim of promoting the concept of shared ownership of agricultural holdings, regulated by Law 35/2011, of 4 October, as a key figure to promote the incorporation of women into agricultural activity, mainly within the framework of family holdings, and to equate their rights and also their obligations, to those of their spouses.
It also aims to achieve greater participation of women in the agricultural sector, this being one of the priorities in which the Ministry works.
