The data analyzed at the Local Security Board of Haro certifies the decrease in crime levels, reaching 26.39 criminal offenses per thousand inhabitants from January to October 2023, almost 2 points below those obtained in 2022 (28.28).
The delegate of the Government in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda Funes, and the mayor of Nájera, Jorge Salaverri Galarreta, presided this morning the Local Security Board to analyze the evolution of crime figures in the municipality.
For its part, Arraiz Nalda has specified that, according to the data on the evolution of criminality that we have analyzed this morning, "it is confirmed that Nájera maintains high levels of security, being below the regional average", which amounts to 36.8 in the first six months of the year - there is still no crime balance of a later period in the autonomous community - and well below the national crime rate, which was 50.3.
According to the indicators provided by the Civil Guard, from January to October 2023, 213 criminal offences were committed. The percentage of clarification amounted to 31.9%, 5.5 points less than in 2022, and the detention rate - number of detainees for every 1,000 known criminal offenses - rose from 381.5 at the end of 2022 to 403.7 in the first ten months of this year.
On the other hand, the Civil Guard detained 22 people in this period and investigated 61 against the 14 detainees and 54 investigated in 2022.
