734 agents will ensure the normal development of the electoral day in La Rioja next Sunday, July 23. Personnel of the National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police of the Autonomous Community will form this device to guarantee citizen security and the exercise of rights and freedoms during the voting day.
In particular, the National Police will deploy a total of 133 officers, while in the Civil Guard there will be 557 officers. For their part, the local police officers will add 44.
The delegate of the Government, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, has pointed out that the State Security Forces and Bodies will work, as in previous elections, so that this electoral process develops without mishap, “guaranteeing the right to vote of the citizens.” For this reason, he has thanked the important work they carry out every day of the year and, especially, on such important days as the holding of elections.
In this way, they will ensure that the 516 electoral tables enabled in La Rioja can open punctually and the electoral day runs normally. The device will start at 00.00 hours on the 23rd and will last until 9.00 hours on the 24th.
To these personnel must be added the staff dedicated to the organization of these General Elections. In this way, the Government delegate has specified that 3,682 people, not counting the alternate members of the polling stations, will participate in this process.
