In order to guarantee citizen security during San Bernabé, the delegate of the Government, Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, and the mayor of Logroño in office, Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza, presided this morning the Local Security Board in which the coordination and close collaboration between National and Local Police for the patron saint’s parties of the Rioja capital has been addressed.
In order to avoid incidents, security control will be intensified in the most crowded events and in areas with a large influx of people. In this regard, it is planned to strengthen the citizen security operation with uniformed and civilian police officers from the National Police, who will carry out patrols to prevent theft and other crimes or administrative offences.
In addition, the National Police will carry out checks on weapons and dangerous objects and drugs during those days.
In addition, the Civil Guard will also intensify the control of the entry and exit roads to Logroño.
Finally, an appeal is made insisting that the Security Forces and Corps are always at the disposal of the citizens, who are recommended to remain vigilant in situations with more influx of people and to adopt precautionary measures to avoid theft in times of greater agglomeration.
