The campaign developed by DGT in La Rioja, from 8 to 14 May, to intensify surveillance in the N-111 has ended with 3,451 controlled vehicles and 182 complaints.
The objective of this regional campaign of the DGT was to improve road safety in the Rioja section of this road and reduce the number of accidents with victims and the number of victims. To this end, it was addressed to intensify the surveillance of various important aspects such as speed, distractions, alcohol and drugs and anti-regulatory maneuvers, among others.
Of the complaints filed last week in the N-111, 139 were due to speeding, 10 due to vehicle documentation, 3 due to driver documentation, 3 due to overtaking, 2 due to technical deficiencies, 2 due to non-use or incorrect use of the helmet, 1 due to not using the safety belt, 1 due to the use of the mobile phone, 1 due to the use of helmets or headphones connected to sound receiving or reproducing devices other than the mobile phone, 1 due to positive drugs and, finally, 19 due to other causes.
