The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, through the General Directorate of Housing and Land, has signed two agreements with the Government of La Rioja for the rehabilitation of 272 homes in the residential environments of Logroño and Calsalvo. Of the EUR 6.6 million to be spent on these projects, the Ministry will contribute EUR 4.8 million from NextGenerationEU funds under the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan (PRTR).
The agreement with the City of Logroño includes the actions in the residential environment of programmed rehabilitation of Lobet, where the rehabilitation, in a first phase, of 184 homes is planned. The contribution of the Mitma foreseen in this case is 2.8 million euros.
The agreement with the City of Calsalvo includes the actions in the residential environment of planned rehabilitation of Sagrada Familia Environment and IES Marco Fabio Quintiliano”, where the rehabilitation of 88 homes in the first phase is planned. Mitma will contribute 2 million euros to these actions.
The Rioja community will directly grant subsidies to both municipalities, due to the uniqueness of the activity financed and the concurrence of reasons of social, economic and environmental interest.
The management of the actions will follow the mandatory channels of Royal Decree 853/2021 through the figure of the agent or manager of the rehabilitation.
This agreement is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan’s Neighborhood Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program, which provides for the transfer of up to 2.97 billion euros to autonomous communities and cities in three annuities to finance this type of intervention in homes, residential buildings and neighborhoods.
