According to the Master Plan for the coexistence and improvement of safety in schools and their environments, during 2022 a total of 535 talks were given in educational centers in La Rioja, attended by a total of 14,579 students and other members of the educational community –teachers and parents.
These talks given by the Civil Guard, the National Police and the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women were resumed last year after the health crisis due to COVID-19 and correspond to the academic year 2021-2022.
For subjects that were addressed with the students, the risks of the internet were the most demanded talks (249), followed by school bullying (111), gender violence (84) and drugs, alcohol and vandalism (72). Another 19 were addressed to Ampas and teachers.
Last year it was the one that requested the most talks, so it is noted that the educational community shows great interest in the talks that take place in the classrooms by the Civil Guard, National Police, the Unit against Violence against Women to inform, train and prevent about different risks.
Eradication of drugs from the educational environment
On the other hand, in December 2022 the fourth and last phase developed by the National Police and Civil Guard within the Plan of eradication of drugs in school environments was concluded, whose primary objective is to reduce the risk represented by the threat of such retail traffic and illicit drug consumption among young people in Spanish schools and their environments.
According to the data accumulated last year, a total of 116 educational centers and 102 establishments in the environment were inspected. These prevention efforts led to the arrest of two people, two deactivated outlets, 54 complaints of drug possession or use and 1,062 identifications.
In 2021, one person was arrested, 54 people were reported for possession or use of drugs, and 962 identifications were carried out. In addition, 135 educational centers and 130 surrounding establishments were inspected throughout 2021.
As for the drugs seized, in 2022, as in previous years, the seizures were mainly of marijuana (28.52 gr.) and hashish (17.63 gr. ), with an isolated sample of Speed (1 gr.) and another of cocaine (1.2 gr. ).
