The government delegate in the Balearic Islands, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has made himself available to the Eivissa Council and the Eivissa Island Council, to prepare as soon as possible - and as soon as these institutions provide the corresponding damage report - the relevant report for the declaration as an area seriously affected by a civil protection emergency, which will allow receiving the financial aid of the State for the recovery of the affected infrastructures. Rodríguez Badal passed it on Wednesday to the top officials of the three institutions, during his visit to the island to follow the situation assessment on the ground and participate in the meetings of the force coordination committee.
The delegate has sent a message of solidarity with the people affected by the storm, to whom he has transmitted his desire “that they can recover normality as soon as possible, with the necessary institutional support in these circumstances”; “the Government of Spain has been and will always be in the reconstruction of the territories affected by adverse phenomena”, he stressed. He also highlighted the intervention of the State security forces and bodies, the Army and the UME, in coordination with the rest of the forces that have acted in the emergency, which has been key to ensuring the protection of people and avoiding consequences in the form of human lives.
