Government delegation withdraws the boat that arrived at the beginning of the month to Ibiza with a hundred people to bord
The Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands, through the Insular Directorate of the General Administration of the State (AGE) in Ibiza and Formentera, has proceeded to the withdrawal of the boat that arrived on September 3 to the shores of the Pitiusos with 101 people of Maghreb origin on board and that remained stranded in the area of Es Codolar.
Given the dimensions of the boat and its possible environmental impact in the area, the transfer has been carried out with the participation of Salvamento Marítimo and the collaboration of the Port Authority of Balears, which has ceded the space for its mooring, pending its destruction. To this end, the Government Delegation has carried out a specific procedure for contracting the services of an external company, which will carry out the work of dismantling and recycling the remains.
