Rodríguez Badal meets with social entities, NGOs, Security Forces and Bodies and institutions dedicated to the care of people in vulnerable situations

The Government Delegation will coordinate a process of joint review of communication protocols in this area, to avoid the social stigma of those in vulnerable situations

The government delegate, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has chaired a meeting this week with the various institutional and social agents involved in the care of people in vulnerable situations, to know first-hand the priority needs of this group. Representatives of the State Security Forces and Bodies in the islands, as well as heads of the Red Cross, Doctors of the World, Casal Petit, Office of Childhood and Adolescence of the Autonomous Community, IB-Dona and the Public Prosecutor’s Office participated in the meeting, held on Tuesday.

As a result of this meeting, the Government Delegation has assumed the commitment to coordinate the joint revision of the communication protocols on issues related to vulnerable people, in order to promote and ensure respectful treatment for those who have suffered situations such as violence against women, and prevent their social stigmatization.

The delegate also noted the concerns of organizations in this field, present at the meeting, about the advisability of improving the functioning of certain procedures aimed at people at risk of exclusion. Rodríguez Badal is committed to bringing this matter to the attention of the Ministry of the Interior.
