MIVAU signs an agreement with the Balearic Government to partially finance rehabilitation actions at the neighborhood level that include 113 homes in Ibiza
The Director General of Housing and Land of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda (MIVAU), Francisco Javier Martín Ramiro, signed on Tuesday with the Autonomous Community and the municipality of Eivissa an agreement that will allow the rehabilitation of the residential environment of planned rehabilitation “Can Partit-Sa Capelleta, Ses Canyes, Ses Figueretes, Es Pratet/Es Prat de Vila. Phase I”. This initiative will affect some 113 privately owned homes located in the municipality of Eivissa, for a total of 3,355,000.00 euros, with a contribution from the MIVAU of 1,985,000.00 euros. The agreement has been signed with the Directorate of Housing and Architecture of the Government of the Balearic Islands and the City of Ibiza.
For these actions, the Autonomous Community will directly grant rehabilitation aid to the municipality, given reasons of social and economic interest that hinder its public announcement. In turn, the Eivissa City Council will publish a call for the granting of subsidies to the owners of the surrounding homes, according to the criteria established in that call.
The City Council will assume the provision of rehabilitation office services and will tender for urban regeneration works (linked to the rehabilitated buildings), through the corresponding procedure of the Law of Contracts.
This agreement is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan’s Neighborhood Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program, which provides for the transfer of up to 2.97 billion euros to autonomous communities and cities in three annuities, to finance this type of intervention in homes, residential buildings and neighborhoods.
