- The performance improves road and rail safety conditions on the Leon-A Coruña line
- The new infrastructure gives continuity to the LU-P-2910 road, which connects the centres of Bosende and Farxocos
- The works included the conditioning of the access roads and the installation of new enclosures to prevent the passage to the roads
Adif completed the construction of a new upper pass in the municipality of Bóveda that allowed to eliminate three level passes located at kilometer points 426/371, 426/800 and 427/218 of the conventional railway line Leon-A Coruña. The action involved an investment of one million euros and improves the safety conditions for both the circulation of vehicles and rail traffic.
The new infrastructure gives continuity to the LU-P-2910 road, which connects the towns of Bosende and Farxocos. It is a bridge of 42.70 meters in length and 9.60 meters in width, with two circulation lanes of 3.50 meters, arches of 0.50 meters and lateral spaces destined for the containment systems.
The works also included the improvement of the firm and the layout of the access roads to the old steps at the level, maintaining the connections with the hincas and the existing road network. The closure of the three crossings is completed with the dismantling of its elements and the installation of enclosures to avoid unauthorized access to the tracks.
Performances in the Ourense–Lugo corridor
The elimination of these three steps at the level is part of Adif’s actions in the Ourense–Monforte–Lugo corridor, where other interventions are planned to eliminate rail crossings. These include performances in Ourense, Monforte de Lemos, Sarria and Lugo.
These works are integrated into the renovation of the 117 km Ourense–Monforte de Lemos–Lugo railway corridor, which includes modernization of the track, improvement of structures, adaptation of bridges and tunnels and electrification of the Monforte–Lugo section.
