- The subdelegate of the Government highlights the coordination of the security forces and bodies to ensure the development of the festivities between 17 and 24 October
Olimpia López, deputy delegate of the Government in Lugo, presided today in Mondoñedo the Xunta Local de Seguridad, convened with the objective of coordinating the special device of the San Lucas, which will be held between October 17 and 24.
At the meeting, the situation of citizen security in the city council was addressed and the planned operation to guarantee security during the San Lucas, declared Festival of Tourist Interest of Galicia, was analyzed. The device will have the participation and coordination of the Civil Guard, also through the subsector of Traffic, the Autonomous Police and the Local Police.
The special operation of the San Lucas will strengthen the presence of the Civil Guard in the areas of greater influx and will intensify traffic controls and prevention, in collaboration with the Local Police. The performances will become relevant during the Horse Cattle Fair and the morphological contests.
