The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, highlighted this morning in Vigo the government’s drive to digitize Galician SMEs through the Digital Kit, which has invested 175 million euros in aid to 42,400 companies in the community. He did so at the Digitisation Awards Gala of the INEO Accelerating SME Office in Vigo, where the five innovative projects of digital entrepreneurship were recognized, “an example of the innovative spirit and capacity of Galician companies”. He was accompanied by the special delegate of the State in the Free Zone of Vigo, David Regades, and by the director of Red.es, Jesús Herrero.
Pedro Blanco stressed the innovative spirit and the ability of Galician companies to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the lines of support of the Government. “This initiative is the best example of the importance that SMEs have for the Government, aware that they are the basis of our productive fabric in the present, but also in the future,” said the delegate.
In this sense, he highlighted that four out of ten beneficiaries of the Recovery Plan in Galicia are companies of this type. These funds translate into thousands of innovative digital solutions in the management, production or marketing of each of these companies, “figures that tell us about the capacity of our self-employed and self-employed, and small Galician companies, to take advantage of the opportunities offered and continues to offer the Government Recovery Plan”.
The delegate congratulated the Viguesa office of Acelera SME of the INEO for being the catalyst of so many innovative projects in the business field of southern Pontevedrés, as well as the winners at the gala. This office works and serves because the interests of this Government and INEO converged in the promotion of the digitalization of our productive fabric, “a clear example of private public collaboration, a formula of success that is undoubtedly key in the future of Galicia”.
