The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, participated today in the award of the Forum do Bo Burgo 2025 Awards, in which “the dedication, talent and commitment of people and institutions that enlarge the Galician culture and our country” were recognized. The event was also attended by the subdelegate in Ourense, Eladio Santos.
The delegate and the mayor of Castro Caldelas, Sara Inés Vega, congratulated the winners and thanked them for their efforts to “keep our language alive and to strengthen ties between our land and the Galicians and Galicians from abroad”.
Blanco made special mention of his colleague, the government delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto Gómez, for his contribution to the “expansion of our language had been from Galicia”.
He also conveyed his commitment to “protect and revitalize the use of Galician in all areas, as a reflection of our identity”; as well as the importance that Galician represents for the Government.
The winners in this edition of the contest were the Government delegate in Catalonia, Carlos Prieto Gómez; the Galician Center of Castellón el Aturuxo; the Novoneyra Foundation; the Galician writer Marica Campo; the musician Xosé Luis Foxo; the veterinarian Olga Iglesias Fontal; the journalist Lucía Rodríguez; the Colegio de la Inmaculada -Lasalle de Santiago and its Association of Former Students.
