The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, co-chairs today in Vilalba with the mayor, Marta Ronco, the Xunta Local de Seguridad to coordinate the special devices that will be launched at FIV 2025, which will take place on April 25 and 26, and at the XXIX Festa do Queixo San Simón de la Costa, scheduled for April 5 and 6.
Rodríguez highlighted the collaboration between the Civil Guard, the Local Police, the organizations of the events and the other administrations involved to ensure the correct development of both appointments, which attract thousands of people to the municipality every year. Both the FIV and the Festa do Queixo will have reinforced prevention devices that include surveillance patrols, traffic controls and units specialized in citizen security.

The meeting also evaluated the data on citizen security in the municipality, which reflect a positive evolution. In 2024, a total of 327 prison violations were recorded, 18 less than in the previous year, which represents a decrease of 5.2%.
