The deputy delegate of the Government, María Rivas, attended on Wednesday at the Paraninfo of the Universidade da Coruña (UDC) the ceremony for the award of the Valedora do Pobo prizes to the best final degree and final master's degrees in the field of equality and women's rights.
The subdelegate took the opportunity to congratulate the students awarded for their work, which deals with the job of washing, crimes against sexual freedom, female referents in the history of music and violence against lesbian and bisexual women in the public space, and to emphasize the importance of these investigations “to continue advancing in the recognition of women referents, in the conquest of rights and in the fight against those behaviors that violate these rights and against the very life of women.”
