The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, participated this morning in the event that the City of Lobios organized in recognition of the work carried out by the Judicial Police Unit of the Civil Guard in recent times, which led to the various arrests recently.
Coinciding with the provincial meeting of commanders of the Civil Guard, which periodically takes place in different municipalities of the province and which today took place in Lobios, the City Council decided to give special distinctions to the Chief Captain of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police, Juan José López, and members of the Heritage Team, for their successful trajectory.
During the event, the Government’s deputy delegate stressed that this distinction is “the result of the work of months of research and prevention that the Civil Guard is doing not only in Lobios but throughout the province, working for the rural world.” In addition, Santos stressed the “professionalism” of the Civil Guard and the importance of its operations, which “always guarantee the greatest security of the neighbors,” he said. Recalling also that, although there are some incidents or criminal acts, most of them are clarified by the agents and “this acts as a deterrent”. “The Civil Guard is making Ourense one of the safest provinces in Spain, in terms of crimes against heritage and people,” concluded the deputy delegate.
The event was also attended by the mayor of Lobios, María del Carmen Yáñez; the lieutenant colonel head of the Ourense Civil Guard Command, Rafael Berguillo; as well as members of the Ourense Command.
