Redonda, March 18, 2025.- The Government’s deputy delegate in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, visited the emergency works that are being carried out on the PK 5+000 of the N-552 road at the height of the Incarnation. During the visit, in which he was accompanied by the mayor, DignaRivas, highlighted that and it is a major work to solve a problem that was dragging on at this point.
The works, carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, began last February and have a total budget of 2,505,161.54 euros and an execution period of 6 months. They were awarded by the emergency procedure, a fact that Abel Losada thanked those responsible for the Demarcation of Roads in Galicia because it allowed the expedition of procedures that would have been delayed with a common tender.
Losada once again lamented that there were “those who tried to throw away political gain from a work that we already knew was going to be done imminently and that, if everything looks good, it will be finished by the end of the summer”. For her part, the mayor, Digna Rivas, thanked the visit and congratulated the Ministry of Transport for a performance that, she recalled, "was very necessary and that we demand from the City Council, and for what can be seen with very good receptiveness."
The works consist of the stabilization of the embankment through the installation of a network of steel pins for the sewing of the talude, the replacement of the affected firm package and the repair of the network of collectors that is under the asphalt.
The safety of the personnel carrying out the works requires enabling traffic diversion, cutting off one lane between the kilometer points 4+700 and 5+300, giving alternative passage through the other lane to both directions of circulation by means of semaphoric regulation.
