The Senegalese tried to save the life of the Corunnese Samuel Luiz in the early morning of July 3, 2021. Ibrahima and Magatte will be the only Africans to be part of this list, which began in 1868 and currently has a total of 44 names. The Senegalese were recognized as adoptive children in the year 2021 but, themselves, requested to delay the appointment until after the sentence of the crime.
