The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, received the new heads of the Commandences of Lugo and Ourense, Colonel Luís Germán Avilés and Lieutenant Colonel Rafael Berguillo, who were accompanied by the Chief General of the Civil Guard of Galicia, Miguel Ángel González Arias and by the Chief Colonel of the greater plane of the area, José Antonio Fuentes.
Blanco conveyed to him his total confidence and willingness to maintain the good functioning of the Command and continue to deepen in a safe province, “something that we have been achieving year after year, making them one of the safest territories in the country.
Profiles of new provincial chiefs
Rafael Berguillo (Ourense). He was head of the Pontevedra Reserve and Security since 2017. He was assigned to the Traffic sector, to the academy of Mérida and to the anti-crime team in the Balearics.
Luis Germán Avilés Cabrera (Lugo). He coordinated the commanders of Oviedo and Zaragoza, which was his last destination until now. It therefore comes with the same functions that it had already developed.
