The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, condemned the machista murder that took place in Benalmádena (Málaga) last Sunday. The delegate presided over the minute of silence that was held before the Subdelegation of the Government in Pontevedra, accompanied by the subdelegate in the province, Abel Losada. She is the second victim of gender violence this year in Spain.
Pedro Blanco lamented the disgrace of this crime, pointing out that every woman killed by male violence "is a democratic defeat", as warned by the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. "We have to fight firmly and head-on against those who deny violence against women and the government does so every day, strengthening protection measures and education on equal terms," said Pedro Blanco, who called for the commitment of all institutions.
