The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, participated this Monday in the act of posthumous recognition as favorite and adoptive children of the Concello de A Coruña to Javier López, Rodrigo Maseda and José Antonio Villamor, the three national police officers who died now 13 years ago when trying to rescue the Erasmus student, Tomás Velicky.
The delegate, who was accompanied at the event by the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, highlighted “the value, dedication and professionalism of these three agents of the National Police” in an “exemplary” performance that “will be remembered today and always in the city of A Coruña”.
He also took the opportunity to remember “the excellent work carried out daily by the men and women who make up the security forces and bodies of the State”, while having words of remembrance for all those who gave their lives in the act of service.
