The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, presided this morning in the Delegation of the Government the act of condemnation of the male crime committed this weekend in Pasaia (Gipuzkoa), after the statement of the same by the Delegation of the Government against Gender Violence, of the Ministry of Equality.
The event began with the reading of a statement with which the subdelegate condemned the murder, conveyed her solidarity with the victim’s family and acquaintances and reiterated the Government’s commitment to continue working together with the other administrations and society in eliminating violence against women and promoting equality. At the end of the reading, a minute’s silence was observed.
With this victim, 43 women have been murdered in Spain so far this year and 1,288 since records have been kept.
