No act was accompanied by the lieutenant colonel of the Benemérita, Óscar Grañas, and by the mayor of Baiona, #Jesús Vázquez Almuíña. They also participated in the presentation of the initiative to director of the center, Isabel Martínez, and the commander of the Civil Guard responsible for the Cyberleague in Pontevedra, Álvaro Fernández.
There are 13 educational centers in the province participating in this initiative and they will be able to register their teams, until November 22, through the web â www.ligagc.com. The teams will preferably be composed of 4 students, who will contest the qualifying phase in Galicia between 25 November and our own educational centers. The classified institutes will contest the final at the University Center of the Civil Guard of Aranjuez in the month of March 2025.
The deputy delegate applauded “the work done by the women and men of the Civil Guard in all the educational centers of the province, where they train hundreds and hundreds of students every year on the risks of this new digital world, which brings many advantages for our society, but also many risks, as demonstrated by the continuous growth of cybercrime, which today accounts for 25% of all crimes committed in our province.”
Losada stressed that the Cyberleague is a fun format that also complements the training actions that are carried out through the Master Plan in all kinds of areas, also in the crime that is committed through the Internet. He stressed that “with cybersecurity we all win, students, parents and society in general” and ended by wishing “much luck and a lot of learning” to all the students of the CPI Cueva Terreña in this new experience in which they will have to face and try to solve, a series of cyber-challenges that simulate real situations that can be found when browsing the Internet. To achieve this, they must use all their skills, working as a team and putting into practice the teachings received, especially in the training action that is developed prior to the competition.
The Cyberleague
