The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, announced this morning the creation of the new Citizen Security Unit of the Civil Guard (USECIC) in the command of the city, accompanied by the colonel, Manuel Touceda, and the sergeant of the unit, Edgar Cid. This new team will facilitate the strengthening of security throughout the province of Lugo and improve the capacity to respond to emergency situations and special actions.
The creation of this new unit responds to the Government’s commitment to improving citizen security in the territory, ensuring greater protection and attention to the needs of citizens in all rural and urban areas. The USECIC of Lugo will have 11 highly trained and specialized personnel in immediate intervention tasks, which will allow a more effective action in situations of risk and events of great influx, as well as control devices in public events and operations against organized crime.
The subdelegate stressed the importance of this new unit to guarantee security in the province, stating that “the creation of the Citizen Security Unit of the Civil Guard is a clear sign of the commitment of the Government to the protection of our citizens. This new unit, made up of specialized agents, will allow a quick and effective response to any eventuality, providing greater tranquility to the population.”
The Government ' s sub-delegate stressed the continuous effort to provide the province of Lugo with the necessary means to guarantee well-being and security throughout the territory. He also thanked the work and dedication of all the security forces, whose commitment is fundamental to maintaining peace and tranquility in the province.
